I stayed at this hotel around August 2023, and I had an enjoyable experience. The building is safe, the rooms had clean bed sheets and clean towels, and the A/C worked great. The sink was perfect for getting ready in the morning, and I used the kitchenette for my groceries during my weeks-long stay. The front-desk staff were very kind and the coffee served in the morning is convenient and not too bad. The washers and dryers came in handy during my stay, too. Overall, a very safe, convenient, decent-quality good hotel.
Very clean rooms. Very friendly staff. A hell of a lot better when the Army ran it back in the day. Their hot breakfast was outstanding. For the price!! Its still well worth it. And nothing got stolen at their place. I feel safe being there. Government contracted housing is the best of the best. My daughter gone through Army training there too. She loved it there too.
Fine experience. Rooms are old but serviceable. Staff are absolutely excellent, will go the extra mile. Convenient location for military. Not sure if price keeps up with other budget hotels in the civilian space with breakfast and other amenities. Food is fine, standard DFAC quality.
The first thing to remember is that it's on post, so you'll need access to the base. After that, everything is great. It's an old building, but the rooms are quiet (saw our neighbors had kids but never heard them). Quick drive to downtown San Antonio, good restaurants in the area outside the gate, too.
I think it's the best bang for your buck kind of place. Everything is clean, and it has a comfortable bed. That's all I really care about. The fact that everything smells so fresh inside despite it having carpet. I really care most about the cleanliness of the rooms.
